We focus on the real-world travel problems that are easy to encounter and surprisingly hard to resolve from ordinary guidebooks.
Choosing a topic
We start with practical moments: a train gate will not open, luggage needs to move, a hotel has a policy you did not expect, or a place is hard to find. The goal is to answer the next useful question, not to create a broad destination guide.
Checking information
We use current official Japanese sources whenever they are available, including transport operators, government agencies and service providers. When the official information is unclear, fragmented or written for a different audience, we cross-check it before explaining how it is likely to work for a visitor.
Official rules and practical interpretation
We try to separate what an official source says from the practical interpretation that helps you act. A guide may explain common outcomes or useful wording, but it should not be mistaken for a guarantee from a station, hotel, shop or service provider.
Keeping guides current
Guides carry a “Last verified” date. We revisit them when an official rule, service or source changes, and update the date when a guide has been rechecked. Even then, transport operations and local conditions can change quickly; travellers should use the linked official source for time-sensitive details.
A living resource
We aim for useful, careful guidance—not the claim that every page is error-free or permanently current.
